The first session discussed enterprise culture and how to develop young people’s entrepreneurial potential through education. The importance of role models was also brought up, along with the need to educate parents that entrepreneurship is an acceptable career path. The old question of whether entrepreneurs are born or bred arose.
In terms of the school curriculum, we need to re-examine what students are assessed on. It was also emphasised that being entrepreneurial is not only about starting a business but about starting anything in life.
