UK Trade & Investment Champion Diaspora Music Foundation Launch Tuesday 31st March 2009
March 24th, 2009 by pollyUK Trade & Investment (UKTI) is proud to support the launch of Diaspora, the non-profit music foundation that will aim to ensure equality in music exists for everyone at Rich Mix in Bethnal Green on Tuesday 31st March 2009.
Chaired by UKTI’s International Business Specialist for the Music Industry and Diaspora ‘fellow’ Phil Patterson, the event will involve a panel of representatives from music associations and trade bodies across London.
This panel has been selected from some of London’s best musical minds in response to the needs of an audience including upcoming artists, record labels and music organisations who have the potential to become leaders within the music industry.
Introductory presentations will also be given at the event by organisations including UKTI, the Association of Independent Music (AIM), the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), the PRS Foundation for New Music (PRS), DIASPORA (music foundation) and the Music Managers Forum (MMF). There will also be two DIASPORA case study presentations.
Members of the audience will also have the opportunity to speak directly with the panel via a question and answer session and to network with companies specifically invited because they have been matched in response to the needs of this audience.
