In memory of Make Your Mark Ambassador Rob Williams

March 4th, 2009 by Eimear

Make Your Mark Ambassador Rob Williams has died in a tragic accident in the Swiss Alps. Rob and his business partner Jason Tavaria, founders of Dolphin Music, have been Make Your Mark Ambassadors and supporters of the campaign since October 2006. They were among the very first supporters of the Make Your Mark campaign in the North West region and were especially supportive of the Make Your Mark in Music project, which inspired more young people to forge careers within the music industry. In 2007, Rob and Jason were finalists in the Enterprising Young Brits Awards and went on to be the fastest growing company in the North West that year.

Helen Kerr from Make Your Mark said:  “The moment you met Rob Williams you could understand why he was so successful in business. He was intelligent, polite, and took a real interest in the people he met. Conversations were peppered with clever insights and fantastic humour and Rob will be sorely missed, not just as such an inspirational role model for budding young entrepreneurs but as a wonderfully warm, good person as well. Our thoughts are with his family and friends and of course his friend and business partner Jason at this sad time.”

A site has been set up as a tribute to Rob at www.robwilliams.org.uk

Rob was a great guy who will be very sadly missed. It is such a shame that this young man full of promise and talent was taken away. Thoughts and wishes are with Rob’s family, Jason and all of his friends.
