Fab over 50’s
November 19th, 2008 by jacquiLast night I attended a fab Fab Over 50s event in Preston. Obviously I was only allowed in under my roving reporter remit! The event was light hearted and entertaining aimed at confidence building and presentation skills.
Organised by Spark ambassador, Janet Harrison www.creative-academy.co.uk in partnership with image consultant Cliff Bashforth www.simplyimage.co.uk . Cliff gave image hints and tips to an audience of 70 or more of us hanging on his every word. I found that I’m similar to Kylie (unfortunately not because of my bum) and due to a senior moment (must have been the company) I’m not quite sure why.
After a quick introduction to my nearest neighbour I was sized up and pronounced to be an ‘inverted triangle’ and apparently to make the most of this shape wearing eye catching footwear is a good idea. As Cliff pronounced that I (nor Kylie) should ever wear black I’ve decided that probably the best bet is to put a bag over my head (black of course) and go for the full on disco diva shoes!
Joking apart the evening was full of inspiring ideas and funny stories and the Enterprise Week event was so over sub-scribed that they’re putting on another one next week so well done and thank you to Janet and Cliff.
